Giorgia is a highly skilled osteopath who combines an evidence-based approach with genuine person-centered care. She earned a Master’s degree in Osteopathy and a Bachelor’s degree in Naturopathy from the British College of Osteopathic Medicine, where she gained an extensive understanding of anatomy, physiology, pathology, diagnosis, functional nutrition, and psychology. She is a registered clinician with the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC). Her comprehensive training allows Giorgia to take a holistic view of health, crafting individualized treatments for each person she works with.
Passionate about understanding the complexities of pain and how it shapes lives, Giorgia has a particular interest in pain science and effective communication. Her dissertation explored the interaction between osteopaths and the individuals they treat, with a focus on diagnostic communication and identifying opportunities for enhancement in osteopathic education. This research reflects her dedication to advancing the profession and her belief in the importance of collaboration and continuous improvement.
In addition to her academic achievements, Giorgia gained valuable experience as a sports and deep tissue massage therapist, refining her manual therapy skills and her ability to adapt to different needs and preferences. Her approach is thoughtful and responsive, blending technical expertise with clear communication and a deep respect for the individuality of each person.
Giorgia specialises in Deep Tissue massage, a manual therapy that involves soft tissue manipulation of muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia.
Massage not only affects the musculoskeletal system, but it also influences the circulatory system and the nervous system, to induce relaxation, relief of pain and enhance overall physical healing.
